Recovery Scams

Again, beware of recovery scams, or threats from the scammers. Sadly, they will frequently try to get more money out of victims by claiming to be some type of organization that says it can get some or all of your money back, for fees. Please don't fall for this.

If you get a threatening e-mail in reference to one of these scams, pat yourself on the back. Frequently the scammers will pose as fake goverment officials from their nation of origina, or even the FBI or Interpol. Don't believe them.

Also be aware, scammers will frequetly post to anti-scamming websites in an attempt to further fool people. They do this with recovery scams, goverment 'investigations', or just please that a certain fake business is really legit. Again, don't be fooled.
